The 79 World War II veterans taking part in yesterday’s Honor Flight from Escanaba to Washington – to visit the World War II Memorial – returned home to the U-P last night , to a heroes welcome – greeted by about 300 people – complete with band and chorus group. They even received a mail call on the ride home – letters from family and friends – to cap off their special day.
