City Police arrested a 17 year old boy yesterday inconnection with an early morning breakin to a vehicle in the 100 block of Essex Lane., The suspect was nabbed by the homeowner and held for police – and was found to have several GPS units, an iPod,CDs and a flick knife in his possession.
More vehicles were entered with items such as purses and another GPS unit stolen.
A silver and grey Kia Spectra was stolen from the YMCA parking lot around 9:00 last night.
There were several more complaints of vandalism to vehicles across the city and several windows were damaged at a bus shelter on Fourth Line.
An apartment in the 700 block of Pine Street was broken into … and a shed at Canadian Tire was entered and some tools stolen. And another bicycle was stolen. With the sharp rise in petty crime of late, police ask residents to be vigilent and report any suspicious activity.
