How come, when someone in my family dies, I can take a few days off free of charge for “bereavement leave”, but when someone in my family gets married, I have to use my vacation days? I assume it’s the same everywhere…but if I attend a funeral, the person won’t remember I was there. They’ll remember I was at their wedding. I have five weddings to attend this summer. That’s a lot of vacation days used up.
