If you missed our chat with newest Raptor, James Johnson, you can listen to it here:
[audio:http://pmd.fan590.com/audio_on_demand/James-Johnson-es-20110223.mp3]
That was Johnson’s first “1 on 1″ interview in Toronto and it originally aired on the halftime show of our Raptors/Bulls broadcast.
In Johnson’s debut with Toronto, he tallied 9 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocks in 26:29 minutes … and the Raps won the game 118-113.
Have a good one folks.

The Raps are perfect with James Johnson in the line-up. Fantastic.
- T.J.When was the last time anyone in the Toronto basketball media disagreed with a Raptors player acquisition ??
If all of those moves made sense then why has their record been so bad over the years ??

- sparky chewbarkyBack in November, the Raps were on a nice little roll when Reggie was healthy.
It’s as if they ALL had a little more swagger and toughness when the Regend was on the court.
When he went down, the team went soft again. On many nights they allow themselves to be pushed around and “dissed” by the other team.
Does having a tough guy on the court make everyone a little tougher?
It appears so.
Reggie brought that intangible asset, as did the Oakster years earlier.
Last night, with Johnson in the line-up, the Raps played tougher.
Even Andrea got his nose dirty a few times.
Hell, even Jay got up into the ref’s face as if to say “You’re not gonna disrespect us in our house tonight!”.
Maybe Johnson brings more than just what shows up in the stats.
I dont care what peeps say about how tough minded james jones is or whatever his name is….ny knicks got carmelo… Jersey got dwill although he might not stay there is another issue but these are deals colangelo would have or should have done last year….just for that and no movement at this trade deadline i think we wont miss colangelo next year when season starts
