Wednesday March 10 2010 - 1:41pm Pacific - Sacramento, CA

I’m still trying to get over last night’s loss - including Kobe Bryant’s heroics and the ‘questionable’ officiating as well.  But it’s time to move on.  The Sacramento Kings don’t care about ‘how close’ the Lakers’ game was … they’re hungry for a win and hoping to jump on an emotionally-spent Raptors’ team tonight.  Thus, Toronto can’t let those emotions spill over into tonight’s tilt.  They’ve got to forget about LA and snap their 2-game losing streak with a win tonight at Arco.

Jonesy and I are on the air with the pre-game show at 9:30pm Eastern but we’re giving you an early taste of things in today’s world-famous Fan 590 VLOG

Enjoy the game tonight folks.

Have a good one

    Hello Eric,
FYI, I sent the following letter to the NBA Officiating Association.

I am very disturbed by the quality of officiating last night in the Toronto Raptors vs Los Angeles Lakers game. On several calls all involving the talented Kobe Bryant they failed to exercise good judgment on the “principles of verticality” and what is normally an amateur habit of “anticipating the foul” instead of “anticipating the play”. Certainly Toronto worked their tails off on defense and were awarded more fouls in the process as expected but they failed to reap the rewards for good hard working defense when it was due.

This game while very poorly refereed in the forth quarter, with all calls given to the “golden one”, may very well cause the Raptors to miss the playoffs which for me, as a fan of the game, is unforgivable. Since the game is anything but a non contact sport there must be better application of the rules on both offense and defence and reward each more fairly.

Hey Eric and Paul. I figuresd the raptors would not “runaway” with a playoff spot, but as long as they can get out of this funk without too much damage they will be all right. By the way Paul, here is the link to watch Oakwoods winning gold medal OFSAA quad “A” game. Cheers.

well said Steve,,,,E can we expediate this and potentially do a re do ,,,or give a list of the bad refs who are against us not to ref against us anymore ?

Steve…that was, by far, the FUNNIEST thing I’ve ever read on this blog!!! Seriously…hilarious.

For a second, I almost fell for the gag, and thought you really meant what you said. And that part where you mentioned you sent it to the league????? BAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! Too much.

It really is ALL the fault of the officiating. If only this league had good referees, the Raps would have already likely won a handful of titles.

And Bargs would be such a better player, too. Intense, Fast. Dedicated.

What a shame BC’s career is being ruined by horrible officiating. It’s an outrage. A complete injustice.
