Stats that stood out:
- Points in the Paint: 44-36, Toronto
- 2nd Chance Points: 8-7, Toronto
- Fast Break Points: 17-8, New Jersey
- The Raptors have now recorded their 19th straight game of 100 or more points. It’s the longest active streak in the NBA and the longest in franchise history as well.
- Toronto is now 18-0 when holding teams under 100 points
- Toronto is now 22-5 when carrying a lead into the 4TH quarter
- Toronto is now 22-4 this season when holding their opponent under 45% FG
- This was New Jersey’s *50TH* loss of the season (5-50 record)
Thumbs Up:
- Playing without Chris Bosh for the first time this season, Toronto used a balanced attack — 7 players in double figures — to knock off New Jersey and earn their 10th road win of the season
Thumbs Down:
- Turnovers. 18 total TO’s leading to 21 points for the Nets. The free throw shooting wasn’t pretty for the Raptors either. They were 14/25 at the line (56%)
Smith Says:
- “GREAT roster / game management by Jay Triano tonight. Andrea Bargnani was the only one to log more than 28 minutes (32 for Bargs) … so there should be a lot of rested bodies ready to roll on the 2nd half of the back to back on Saturday night in T.O.”
Jones Says:
- “A workman-like effort without Chris Bosh. Nesterovic stepped in nicely without upsetting the apple cart.”
Keep the 3-ball Streak Alive (914 games and counting):
- The Raptors were 6 of 12 from 3PT range
Next game:
- Wizards @ Raptors – Saturday February 20 2010 – 7:00pm Eastern
- Tune in just at 6:30pm for the pre game show and just after 7:00pm for the “Pizza Pizza” starting line ups

Just keep up the great work guys.
How did the Raps acquire Johnson. Love his game snd hard work.
- steveHe came from Milwaukee in a summertime trade that saw Carlos Delfino and Roko Ukic go to the Bucks … with Johnson and Sonny Weems coming to Toronto
- Eric SmithThanks for the link Mr. smith.
That game could be a preview of next season :(
- WestBrantKidI just caught the tail end of the game after getting in from New York last night.
I thought we might see a monster game out of Bargnani, but being moved “out of position”, how did he do? Was it Reggie off the bench behind Rasho and did they stretch his minutes a bit further?
Let’s keep it up against the Wiz. Any official word whether Bosh will play?
- GaryGreat win by the Raps!
- Raps FanQuick thought for you Eric:
In my opinion, there’s no way King James goes to Broadway without at least one other of the big three coming along. And I think Chicago is going to take a serious run @ Wade since they already have a few decent pieces that would be attractive to lure him home.
There are more teams than just the Knicks who have unloaded serious cap space for this off season.
What if NY gets shut out after trading their future for the hopeful future that doesn’t materialize.
They’ll compete with the neighbouring Nets for the futility award. Could happen…
