Wednesday January 20 2010 – 9:47pm Central – Milwaukee, WI
Raptors @ Bucks
Final Score:
113-107, Bucks (Toronto now 21-22)
“Smith and Jones” Player of the Game:
CARLOS DELFINO
22 points
7 rebounds
4 assists
7/15 FG (including 4/8 3PT FG)
4/4 FT
“Alice Fazoolis” Player of the Game:
* Unfortunately, we weren’t joined by a member of the Bucks … but if we had our choice it would have been:
ANDREW BOGUT
27 points
12 rebounds
3 blocks
11/14 FG
Shout-out to the Raptors:
CHRIS BOSH
44 points
12 rebounds
4 assists
15/26 FG
14/15 FT
Stats that stood out:
- Points in the Paint: 52-30, Bucks
- 2nd Chance Points: 22-13, Bucks
- Fast Break Points: 6-6
- Bogut fouled out of the game with 4:11 to go and the Bucks up by 5
- The Bucks are now 12-2 when Bogut scores 17 or more points
- Milwaukee is now 16-4 when carrying a lead into the 4TH QRT
- Toronto now 2-16 when trailing going into the 4TH QRT
- The Bucks had *18* offensive rebounds in this game
Thumbs Up:
- Chris Bosh. He did it all. A career-high 44 points. He was an absolute beast but, unfortuately, it means little-to-nothing in the end.
Thumbs Down:
- Offensive rebounding. Milwaukee hammered Toronto on the offensive glass getting second look after second look (again, to hammer-home the point: 18 offensive rebounds and 22 second chance points for the Bucks)
Smith Says:
- “Getting beat is one thing. Getting out-worked and out-hustled is another. This was a frustrating loss.”
Jones Says:
- n/a
Keep the 3-ball Streak Alive (903 games and counting):
- The Raptors were 5 of 16 from 3PT range
Next game:
- Bucks @ Raptors – Friday January 22 2010 – 7:00pm Eastern
- Tune in just after 7:00pm for the “Pizza Pizza” starting line ups

very disappointing!
This is the reason why Bosh will leave Toronto!
Why?
Because he plays his heart out and does not even get the win!

* Said it 15 times because this is the fifteenth anniversary!
- Raps Fani am now convinced that this hedu-thing is a bust and i’m also convinced that there’s something very wrong with the reggie ankle injury from pre-season … come on; an amputee would have been playing by now – if the guy needs more surgery then do it already and by the way, let’s see if there some surgical procedure whereby they can put a heart in hedu as well
- tony bRoko had a great game against the Raps and Delfino has a great game against the Raps. I suppose traded players like to make their former teams think they made a mistake. Carlos went WAY over his normal stats in this game.
- Mr.CuriousWe should nickname the Raps after a famous roller coaster, because emotionally that’s what it feels like following this team.
JUst another of those winnable but let-it-slip-away results.
Actually, not just losing but getting killed in the effort stats, night after night, it would have been amazing to win this one at all.
- Points in the Paint: 52-30, Bucks
- 2nd Chance Points: 22-13, Bucks
It’s the only way you could lose with your best player putting up 44.
At one point I think the Bucks scored 7 straight possessions on 2nd chance points!
Hedo was better but only in spurts. I thought after he started out with a quick 5 points, he may have a breakout game.
Raps HAVE to win the return engagement or with the adulterer and Lakers coming to town, watch how fast a real losing streak can develop.
- GaryIs there anybody on this team besides Bosh that realizes lost opportunities like this make the difference between a 5 seed vs a 7 or 8 or 9?
Come on already!
Good teams bury weaker opponents not give them every chance possible to keep themselves in a game they should not win!
We still have a long way to go.
7 of next 9 at home – Raptors have to put their foot on the gas and put together another nice run
- ShaneThat was pretty rough, tony b.
Actually, I’m surprised your comment made it past the mods…given your inexplicably ignorant statement regarding “amputees”.
- brento. And, Gary — you really gotta let this Kobe thing go. Not that I am AT ALL condoning what he may (or may not) have done to his wife.
But, simply because you’re repeatedly singling out one guy from an ever growing list of athletes that either commit crimes or act in ways that set horrible example for their fans (particularly, their young fans).
And, it’s not just the NBA. It’s every league. Hingis doing coke. Woods pulling a “John Holmes”. That idiot NY Giants guy shootin’ himself.
It’s in every sport. And, it seems to be worsening every year.
- brento.And, Raps Fan:
Haven’t I already told you to chill when it comes to this miserably inconsistent team?
Well, I have.
This is a .500 team, give or take a few games. That means they’re gonna have some good runs and some bad runs.
I just want you to live a full, long life with a strong, healthy heart!!
Don’t let this team drag you down!!!
- brento.
