Tuesday December 15 2009 – 2:30pm Eastern – Miami, FL
The sun is shining and I don’t want to leave!
But it’s game-day here in Miami and this is an important game for the Raptors. As you’ll hear/see in the VLOG, I agree with Jack Armstrong RE: his column on TSN.ca ( http://www.tsn.ca/nba/story/?id=302340 ), there’s no reason why Toronto shouldn’t be staring at the Heat and saying “We can beat you and catch you for #5 in the East … at the very least”.
Enjoy the VLOG folks
It’ll be the same usual suspects for the Raptors tonight. Other than Jose Calderon (back in Toronto (hip)) there are no injuries to report so the starting 5 will remain the same (Jack, Bosh, Turkoglu, DeRozan, Bargnani).
Jonesy and I will be on the air at 7pm with the pre-game show. We’re jammed tonight with 1 on 1′s with Sonny Weems, Marcus Banks, Chris Bosh, and Jack Armstrong. We’ll have the tip just after 730pm
Have a good one
E. Smith

You guys are so lucky!
Wade to Toronto!!! :):D:P
Don’t worry about the Cold weather in Toronto it will stay here for a long time!
- Raps Fan No More!To your “half full arena” point.
I would imagine that it wouldn’t be with Bosh and Wade there.
The bottom line had not changed; the Raps need to finish in the playoffs and at least have an extended first round effort for Bosh to stay.
If they are competitive, money will be the over riding factor in that decision.
They could start by sending a message tonight.
- Gary(A) I can’t think of a way this Raps team beats a top 4 team in the conference (in the playoffs).
(B) I don’t believe the extra $1 per year, and extra year on the contract, will be enough for Chris Bosh to stay in Toronto. And, I can’t imagine his “handlers” are saying “Chris, my man…you gotta stay in Toronto ’cause that’s where it’s at!”. No chance.
(C) It’s obvious Chris Bosh isn’t enough to win in this league, anyways. Any team that brings him in, and DOESN’T have a superstar to play beside him, better not expect a championship ring.
- brentoWoops! That should read “$1 MILLION”, of course!!!
I wonder if there ever was a time when a single dollar meant much to a professional athlete…well, perhaps to a CFLer in the 40s or 50s, who spent the offseason working at a “real” job.
