Tuesday December 15 2009 – 10:17pm Eastern – Miami, FL
Raptors @ Heat
Final Score:
115 – 95, Heat (Toronto now 11-16)
“Smith and Jones” Player of the Game:
DWYANE WADE
19 points
7 assists
8/19 FG
“Alice Fazoolis” Player of the Game:
* Unfortunately, we weren’t joined by a member of the Heat, but this is who we would have wanted:
MICHAEL BEASLEY
28 points
11 rebounds
11/19 FG
6/6 FT
Shout-out to the Raptors:
CHRIS BOSH
28 points
2 rebounds
4 assists
9/13 FG
10/11 FT
Stats that stood out:
- Wade had two fouls in the 1st QRT and was on the bench to start the 2nd, but the Raps could not take advantage as they coughed up 36 points to the Heat in that frame, and trailed 60-50 at the half
- Bosh did not have a single rebound in the first half
- Toronto’s starting PG, Jarrett Jack: 1/3 FG, 6 points, 1 assist, 5 turnovers
- Beasley’s 28 points tied a career-high
- Points in the Paint: 52-30 Heat
- 2nd Chance Points: 14-6 Heat
- Fast-break Points: 19-8 Heat
- Heat out-rebound the Raptors 45-32
- Marco Belinelli off the Raptors bench: 0 for 7 FG. Finished with 6 points (6/6 FT)
Thumbs Up:
- Bosh carried the load, AGAIN. Give him full credit for his ability to score but his team must start to step up around him.
Thumbs Down:
-This was Toronto’s FIFTH loss of the season of 20 or more points. Including in the mix as well … an 18-point loss and a 19-point as well.
Smith Says:
- “This team is an enigma.”
Jones Says:
- “Another puzzling display by the Raptors as, again, they lacked energy after the 1st quarter.”
Keep the 3-ball Steak Alive (887 games and counting):
- The Raptors were 2 of 11 from 3PT range
Next game:
- Raptors @ Magic – Wednesday December 16 2009 – 7:00pm Eastern
- Tune in at 7:00pm for the “Pizza Pizza” starting line ups

what can we do?
- Raps Fan No More!You’re right Eric…
- jimThis team needs an enema.
Bosh was great offensively but didn’t seem to bring it on defense tonight. He has been amazing this year but the 2 rebounds and his lack of interest at the other end of the court was disappointing tonight. Hopefully he will be back to himself tomorrow in Orlando
- Don CHey Eric.
This team is bad for your health. I seriously think about what Raptor team will show up before games. Talk about no identity. I play rec ball on Thursdays and I bet you I could drop 15 on the Raps. This team’s roster is too flawed and Mr. Triano doesn’t have the respect of the team. Yeah sure he coaches the Team USA junior squad, the team that gets beat up the Sr. squad. Remember, that when he coaching that team, the team is full of stars. He’ll never be able to drop that feeling from knowledgeable fans that he was hired because he’s Canadian. I great marketing tool to promote the team.

- airjuiceI’m just so tired of the Raps being blown out, moreso than the losses. Hedo and Bargnani have been extremely inconsistent, Jack (or Calderone) can be great or terrible and DD has hit a wall imo. These are your STARTERS; having one like this is tough but all four???
I’ve heard Bosh say this 16 differrent ways this season:
“What makes it disappointing is we have been talking about it for so long and we don’t do a very good job at that. We’re going to have to take the attitude it is not going to happen anymore, and until that happens, we will be a so-so team.”
- GaryIt must be extremely frustrating for Bosh to play with the Colangelo-orchestrated bunch of stiffs here in Toronto.
I refuse to place ANY blame on Bosh. This is a team sport and his teammates are doing nothing to inspire him to reach even higher than he already is. There must be games where he feels he is the only one contributing a full effort.
That will all change, for him, next season.
