Wednesday December 9 2009 – 9:50pm Central – MILWAUKEE, WI
Raptors @ Bucks
Final Score:
117 - 95, Bucks (Toronto now 10-14)
“Smith and Jones” Player of the Game:
BRANDON JENNINGS
22 points
6 assists
2 rebounds
2 steals
2 blocks
8/14 FG
11/12 FT
* SOLID start in place of injured guard Jose Calderon (hip)
“Alice Fazoolis” Player of the Game:
* Unfortunately, we weren’t joined by a member of the Bucks but we were hoping to chat with:
ROKO UKIC
17 points
4 assists
2 rebounds
5/9 FG
5/6 FT
Shout-out to the Raptors:
CHRIS BOSH
26 points
10 rebounds
2 assists
7/16 FG
12/14 FT
Stats that stood out:
- Luke Ridnour (15 points in the game) had 9 in the 4th quarter
- Toronto coughed up 23 points on 14 turnovers. Milwaukee obviously taking FULL advantage
- Rasho Nesterovic, starting at center in place of the injured Andrea Bargnani (ankle) was 1 for 4 … finishing with 2 points and ZERO rebounds
- Fast break points; 19-7, Toronto
- Carlos Delfino against his former club: 14 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block (a MONSTER block on DeMar DeRozan)
- Ukic had 11 of his 17 points in the 4th
Thumbs Up:
- It’s becoming a broken record … but … Bosh gets the thumbs up. He may have been the only true positive I can find in this game (with his 26 points and 10 rebounds (though Luc Mbah a Moute suffocated CB4 in the second half))
Thumbs Down:
- Toronto cut the Milwaukee lead down to 9 at the end of the 3rd, but with Jennings and Andrew Bogut on the bench for most of the final frame, the Raps still allowed the Bucks to torch them. 10/13 at one point … Milwaukee finished the 4th 13/18 from the field.
Smith Says:
“The effort an intensity – especially on the defensive end – that we saw during the 3-game winning streak was nowhere to be found tonight.”
Jones Says:
“The defensive effort and energy were lacking. Other players need to seize their opportunities with Jose Calderon and Bargnani out of the line up.”
Keep the 3-ball Steak Alive (884 games and counting):
- The Raptors were 4 of 14 from 3PT range
Next game:
- Hawks @ Raptors – Friday December 11 2009 – 8:00pm Eastern
- Tune in at 7:00pm for the “Pizza Pizza” starting line ups

same old raps really, just seemed to be a step slow for whatever reason. It has looked this way in about half the games this season.
Dont these guys make millions?
- jose haterYou can see the wasted opportunites if the Raps follow this with a loss to Atlanta, a strong likelihood.
The the mini winning steak went back to insignificant.
- GarySo, sad to watch this team yea, they can make the 8th seed but, that will not do anything to keep Chris Bosh. I’m not sure what can the Raptors do at this point not sure who can they get to make this team a 5 seed contender! Not sure if I am going to watch the game against Atlanta Hawks or the Rockets it is unbelievable that this team is so bad! Like it is making me loose interest in this team and for Basketball for god sakes! They can’t do anything right and this team needs to do something fast either put Wright in the starting line-up because we need something! Or we are going to loose Bosh and get anything in return.
Eric, I have a question for you why are the USA basketball team interested in Jay Triano? And why did they want him?
- Raps Fan No More! This is too late, but, how come the Raptors didn’t go after a guy like Rammon Sessions??????
He is young point guard and who knows he can be really good! So, how come the Raptors did not go after him?
