Friday December 4 2009 – 10:30pm Eastern – Washington, DC

The wireless in Washington has been wonky all night folks, so I can’t do the usual post-game blog right now. When we land in Chicago, I will do my best to update things properly.

For now … let me just say quickly on the BlackBerry … that this was a HUGE win for Toronto.

Yes, the Raps coughed-up a 15-point 1st QRT lead … and … yes … Hedo Turkoglu saw his 3-pointer rim out at the end of regulation. But Toronto stayed after it and rode a monster performance from Chris Bosh to a 109-107 win. Turkoglu won it with :8.1 seconds to go on the Fat Joe, “Lean Back” special.

Turkoglu finished with 20 points … Bosh had 31 points and 16 rebounds.

Toronto now heads to Chi-town to face the Bulls on the back-to-back on Saturday night.

A 15-point in the first quarter is not really a “lead”.

Coming back in the 4th after trailing by 6 was huge.

I guess we’re fortunate Triano stuck with his starting lineup.

They really need stronger inside presence ! When is Reggie Evens going to play? A sprained ankle should be fixed by now. -John T

Would like to see Derozan used in late game scenarios over Bargnani. They could use someone out there with his overall athleticism. In general, I think DeRozan’s development is going to accelarate far quicker than the organization has in mind. If they make the playoffs the Raps are going to need his slashing ability and one on one offensive game.

A win is a win and we’ll definitely take it but I couldn’t understand on the last shot of regulation why you work the clock all the way down and then shoot a bloody three. How about work it in and maybe get fouled, it was all they needed.

Even at that, he cranked up the three with no time left to tip in a miss (which CB missed on the tip back anyway). Odd decisions.

Nice to see if was Turk who pulled this out to compliment a great comeback game by Bosh.

I still think not altering the starting lineup was a mistake but you can’t argue with the results. Let’s hope it carries over into Chicago.
