Wednesday November 18 2009 - 1245pm Mountain - Salt Lake City, UTAH

We’ve been vloggin’ like crazy during this road trip … but this is our final one for a few days.  After tonight’s tilt against the Jazz, we’re back home for a few days … so the digital cam will get a rest … and you won’t have to look at our ugly mugs anymore!

Tough loss last night for the Raptors … and another tough test tonight in Utah.  The Jazz have struggled so far this season but they’ve won 8-straight against Toronto and they’re well rested (haven’t played since Saturday) … licking their chops at the prospect of seeing the Raps on the back to back.

We’re on the air with the pre-game show at 830pm Eastern tonight … the tip-off just after 9pm

Utah is a team without a single recognizable “big name”
    - perhaps as much a function of the difficulty in attracting players to UTAH as anythning else.

But their record, particularly the home record proves that you don’t need a cast of giant egos to win in the NBA; maybe just to win it all…

Gary, the Jazz have Deron Williams. He’s one of the best pg’s in the league. Boozer isn’t bad either.

hopefully the refereeing for today’s game won’t be as bad as yesterdays game against the Nuggets

We will need the bench to be lively today as it is a back 2 back.

I’d like to see Belinelli and Weems get some playing time tonight over DeRozan.

I can’t believe we didnt draft Brandon Jennings

Hey Raza I know they have Deron Williams but he and Boozer are not exactly the `big name`egos I was talking about. Are you disagreeing and saying that they have a cast of giant egos becuase I don`t see that.

There aren`t a lot of guys seriously vying for an all star berth, pushing their shoe line or tweeting off the bench.

    Yet they win…

    Right, Simon.

Without bad officiating, the Raps would have EASILY beaten the Nuggets.

Yet another excuse for a fumbling Raptors team.

    Paul,

The interview tonight with the assistant coach/scout for the Memphis Grizzlies was the best NBA interview I’ve ever heard.

It felt very honest, I really appreciate that he not only spoke about the Grizzlies openly but he also had no problem speaking candidly about the Raptors and Jazz. Wow! You never hear that much frank talk from NBA people.

Thanks so much for bringing that interview to us. I don’t think I’ll be able to stomach the opinion I hear from outsiders anymore after hearing from someone who is obviously very knowledgeable.
