Wednesday November 11 2009 - 4:00pm Eastern - Toronto, ON

- The Raptors currently have won a three-straight over the Bulls and seven of the past nine- Toronto will look for continued success from Andrea Bargnani who averaged 27.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in three contests against the Bulls last season

- I mentioned yesterday that Chris Bosh has the longest active streak in the NBA for consecutive games with 20 points or more. Well, here’s another one for ya RE: Bosh’s offensive output and its place in RAPTORS franchise history:
* Raptors consecutive games of 25+pts
- Vince Carter - 8 (February 27, 2001-March 11, 2001)
- Chris Bosh - 6 (October 30, 2009-Present)
- Vince Carter - 6 (February 27, 2000-Mar 6, 2000)

OFFENCE vs DEFENCE

Points Per Game in the NBA thus far:

1. PHX - 110.9
2. BOS - 110.7
3. PHI - 109.4
4. TOR - 106.9

Top FG% (Team) in the NBA thus far:

1. PHX - 50.2%
2. CLE - 49.8%
3. TOR - 48.7%

Top FT Attempts (Team) Per Game in the NBA thus far:

1. DEN - 34.0
2. TOR - 32.3

HOWEVER … It’s the “D” that’s the issue … and we all know that. It HAS to pick up. Period.

Toronto is 3RD last in Opponents Points Per Game (111.4)and 7TH last in Opponents Field Goal Percentage (47.7%).

BOTH of those stats must improve, big-time.

Enjoy the game tonight folks. Jonesy and I are on the air with the Bulls and Raptors at 7pm.

Reggie Evans status as Raptor saviour grows with each day he can’t play lol.

You have to love his enthusiasm even from the bench. I think he’s one of those guys that will make every one of his team mates better by being more accountable to a vocal (and nasty) veteran.

I hope they win tonight and take some of the pressure off.

Guard the damned 3-ball…this has been a problem since the Sam Mitchell days. Guard the damned 3-pointer and guard any guy who happens to make more than one three. Help defense? Rotate? Guard the damned 3-ball.

The reason the Raps have been scoring so much is simply because teams are slouching on defense when playing against them.

The Raps can’t stop anyone from scoring. So, why would a team like San Antonio, traditionally built on defense, care how many points they give up? Even without their two best players, they toyed with Toronto, knowing they could outscore the Raps.

Their commitment to defense is horrible. What a lazy team…Bosh, Calderon, Bargs, Turk — they can all score yet can’t play a lick of D.

Thanks again, Colangelo. Get outta town!!!

Hey Eric, great win for the Raptors today, and it’s great to see that the defense finally rose to the occasion. Great job on the FAN 590 and look forward to the next game!
