So, I’m sitting here wondering what to write about and I start thinking back to a week ago when the Raptors were preparing to face the Shaq and the Suns in Phoenix.
Well, a week later, the Raps are now getting set to tip it off against one of Shaq’s former teams - the Miami Heat - and the big man also made the headlines in Raptorland over the past 7 days for his “RuPaul” comments about Chris Bosh.
Zack Cooper will likely be on this blog later today with some sort of wrap-up from Toronto’s practice (he covered today - not me), but my contribution to “The Rap” is more lighthearted.
I present to you - in no particular order - 10 of the best Shaquille O’Neal moments in history. From compilation videos to commercials, interview clips and TV appearances, Shaq is almost always entertaining:
- A great highlight reel of some of Shaqtus’ funniest moments (the LSU stuff is awesome).
- How can ya not like rapping to the “Cheers” theme song?
- The instant classic from less than a month ago.
- More dancing (this one from Feb. 2007).
- I remember howling at the TV when I first saw this during the Super Bowl last year.
- Shaq and Will. Maybe they should do “Step Brothers 2″ together.
- He’s never been afraid to speak his mind and take on his critics.
- There’s nothing really “funny” about this clip, but it’s just great to look back at how far the big man has come as a player, person, and personality!
I hope you enjoyed some of those.

Hi Eric,
While I certainly agree that Shaq is one of the all-time great “personalities” of the NBA, I didn’t particularly like his recent comments regarding Van Gundy, Ewing and Howard (what does he have against the kid?). They seemed a bit too personal and vindictive.
As for the Raps, do you if the newest member (Pops!) will be at practice today. Will he suit up for tomorrow’s game?

- PatrickNot only has Shaqtus gone after Bosh and Howard but he’s also talking trash about Stan, Jeff Van Gundy and Patrick “One Move” Ewing…I don’t know where all this hostility is coming from, but shaq is on a tear!
