Saturday November 22 2008 – 5:43pm Eastern
I wasn’t at practice this afternoon — Saturday is normally my only off-day of the week.
However, I did track down some info on Jermaine O’Neal’s strained left knee.
Doug Smith reported in his blog a few hours ago that O’Neal looked alright walking around at practice (though not participating) and most of the folks Smitty talked to seemed to indicate that J.O. would be alright. You can check out the blog here: http://thestar.blogs.com/raptors/
But I’ve got a little more info for you.
According to the Raptors, the medical images that O’Neal had taken of the knee on Friday night “revealed no structural damage”. The team also announced that O’Neal is officially listed as “day to day”.
O’Neal was hurt at the 11:37 mark of the 4TH quarter of last night’s game.
We’ll find out on Sunday morning if he’s able to suit up against the Boston Celtics or not.
Be sure to tune in to the FAN 590 for the Raptors pre-game show at 12:05pm Eastern … with tip set to go just after 12:30pm

That is good news that nothing serious happened to JO’s knee. He is a warrior with toughness. If he does not suit up tomorrow then it’s all good because he can rest the knee til he gets back.
- StevenMust have been that big brace that had done it’s job. Thanks for the Info Eric.
