My internet connection is SO slow in Boston … you’d think I was working off dial-up on a Vic 20 or Commodore 64.
But trust me, the VLOG is coming. I should be up by 1:30pm - 2:00pm. Hang tight.
Thanks
E. Smith

Guys, call a spade a spade, Mitchell botched another one for the team leaving Kapono on Pierce. Never fails, he might be a player’s coach, but its always something each game. Putting your worst defender on the hottest player for the other team and leaving him there - its brutal. He won’t last the season - what a waste. I’ll be there on the 23rd, but I am sure he’ll screw that one up as well.
- ChuckMy conclusion would be that Mitchell can’t coach. They should hire a coach who knows how to coach two big man! We need a man who knows what it’s like to work with twin towers! Avery Johnson, he was the point guard for TD and D. Robinson. Mitchell is lost!
- MatthewIf Toronto had a player to match pierce he would have never went off in the 4th. Raptors need a SG to draw some fouls and slow down guys like kobe, pierce, james with their own offence. Vince Carter would look so good right now in this offence with or with out chris bosh.
- Rob from brantfordToronto must beat ‘lesser’ opponents. When you have your foot on the throat of another team by 12 at the Half, STEP DOWN HARD. This is, at that time, a ‘lesser’ team.
- Richard SpackmanMVP Bosh does not, ever, have an off day against a tough division rival! Not without a major injury he’s hiding.
I gotta disagree with some of the ‘analysis’ of last night’s game. Kapono hit some BIG shots in the fourth quarter last night, while Moon was way too content to just launch from the outside. So Kapono’s time on the floor was justified.
Also, Parker was also on Pierce a number of times in the 4th quarter. (Obviously, that didn’t matter either b/c “The Truth” was in a zone!)
One final thing, for those criticizing Kapono being on Pierce… the other alternative was either bringing back in Moon or putting Kapono on Ray Allen.
Pick your poison.
Stop nitpicking already. We’re only 7 games in!
- RichardThese things are rapidly becoming must viewing for me. I didn’t get a chance to check it out prior to the game but I still had to watch.
You guys are really doing a great job. I love these things. Keep Up the good work.
- James BorbathJames Borbath, quit using this blog to suck up. Its not going to further your career!
- ChuckI like Eric’s work. He has been great to me and enjoy his work simple as that.
I have never asked Eric to do anything for my career other than to be a guest. Simple as that.
I don’t expect anything from Eric and he knows that which is all that really matters.
Maybe I just won’t bother posting on here as I don’t want it to become an issue for Eric. But on second thought why should I have to because I have done nothing wrong.
- James BorbathHey buddy can we keep it about basketball this isn’t oprah! Anyway looking forward to philly game. Eric, do you think this is a must win?
- Mike KellyI’m tired of those who critisize Sam Mitchell. The bottom line here is, the construction of a team begins and ends with ownership and the GM. Bryan Colangelo had the opportunity to turn this franchise around with the # 1 pick and who did he select? A European that was nowhere near projected to go first, How many teams over the years have drafted a European first overall.
Babcock gave us Calderon and Charlie V, Grunwald gave us Carter and Bosh, Isiah gave us Mcgrady, What has Brian given us? Bargnani, one of many raptor players that he brought in that cannot play D. I’m so sick and tired of the media saying that the Raps are still learning, The core of this team has seen the post season more than once and has more than three years under their belts. Bosh, Oneal, Kapono and Calderon are no longer learning.
