I can’t sleep.
I’m sure I’ll catch some Z’s shortly.
But, anyway, I wanted to let ya know that Jonesy and I had a chance to do another “vlog” on Thursday night.
It was supposed to be up on the FAN website around midnight, but apparently the web dudes ran into some technical issues and now the video likely won’t be posted until around 9:00am.
Check back at that time and you’ll likely be able to find our piece in the “media gallery” section of this website.
And this time around … Jonesy and I spent very little time talking about basketball. Our entry has more of a historical angle. Check it out (when it’s available).

I just wanted to let you know Eric. I was the guy that had to tell Paul Johnson that it was your show. He was talking smack.
The only A team for Hoops is Eric Smith, Paul Jones and Jack Armstrong.
I will say Sherm didn’t talk smack about you. Look forward to your video efforts.

- E. SmithI agree Eric does great work K.O. He is doing a lot of other stuff beyond just his blog. I write a blog as Eric knows but I totally understand all the other things he does. But despite that he still does a very good blog on top of all of that other stuff.
The video blog was excellent and I enjoyed it a lot. Glad to see you guys are using our suggestions. Chris Bosh had his comments on Obama up on the net. You could see how amazed he was as it was taped not long after his speech. I was taken back by this as well.
I am not black. But I have always read about the 60’s and I am about same age as Eric and echo the thoughts Eric had on Kennedy and all those figures of the 60’s.

- E. SmithLet me clarify something. I will reword my feelings with a more positive twist. Your skills are better served through your talent for offering your respected opinion, analysis and inside sources. Hell i was even one of those guys who wanted you to replace chuck. But I read stats on nba.com and think you offer more then stats postings for fillers. As for James Borbath’s comments, you base your blog out of free web services. If you believed in youself you might want to promote yourself a little and and invest a few dollars in your blog.
- kops dino bogger: I’m not black either and i’ve always…. read. But more importantly ….i’m about the same age as eric, and have the same hair color as eric and i am close to the same height as eric. How niffty niffty niffty! That makes me just like eric! U WISH!
- koWhat happens if Obama falls flat on his face?(Like I expect him too) I hope all these athletes, movies stars, etc, etc man up and admit they chose the wrong man for the job and picked him based on hype, and nothing else.

A few things
1 - you’re entitled to your opinion man. I know I’m not gonna make everybody happy with everything I do.
However …
2 - I just looked back at my last blog entries for almost a month (let alone this week), and I fail to see how I’m relying on stats so much in my blogs. Clearly some are number-heavy, but I’d argue that the vast majority aren’t.
3 - Again, while you’re definitely entitled to your opinion (and I do appreciate your support - whether in this blog or in other things), I don’t wanna get into a p*ssing match … going back and forth with this. I hear you. You hear me. We disagree … but agree to disagree. It’s all good!
And, if possible,
4 - I’d like to avoid folks taking personal or professional shots at anyone (i.e. - “James” or the Dino Nation blog) other than me. I should be subject to praise or criticism; “fans” or readers shouldn’t.
