I’m not sure that there was ever any doubt, but Chris Bosh was officially named the NBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week earlier today.

This is the 5TH time in his career that Bosh has won the award.

Bosh led the Raptors to a 3-0 record, averaging 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.

This is how CB4’s week went down:

- 27 points and 11 rebounds in a 95-84 over the Sixers in Philly
- 31 points and 9 rebounds in Friday’s win over Golden State
- 20 points and 10 rebounds in Saturday’s victory in Milwaukee

Bosh also shot 80% from the FT line this week and he leads his team in scoring, rebounds, and minutes played (41.7).

The Raptors will need Bosh to be at the top of his game again this week with tough games coming up against Detroit, Atlanta, and Charlotte.

New Orleans guard Chris Paul was named the Western Conference Player of the Week.

Bosh previously took home the POW honours in January 2008, March/April 2007, January/February 2006, and January 2005.

I have the feeling that we may see a few more POWs for CB4 this year. Is it too early to start the MVP chant at the ACC?

The MVP chant was going 5 minutes into the Golden State game, Chris. It may be a stretch considering the other guys like LeBron, Paul, etc. but gotta show the hometown star love.

    Hi,

The Raptors have a decent lineup right now but if they add a new SG or SF they could make a push for the top three teans in the East. Do you know what free agents will be available via free agency or trade at those positions?

    Thanks
