Thumbs Up:
Defense. Toronto had 9 steals and 9 blocks; holding Golden State to under 45% from the field.
Thumbs Down:
Offensive Rebounding (17-6 Golden State)
Smith says:
“On a night where Jermaine O’Neal didn’t really get it going on offense, Andrea Bargnani picked him up off the bench. Bargnani’s 19 points helped stretch out Golden State’s D. Bargs chipped in on the defensive end as well, with 3 blocked shots. The 3RD year big man sure made up for his sub-par performance on opening night in Philly.”
Jones Says:
“Terrific defensive effort by the Raptors - particularly late in the 4TH quarter and overtime. When they couldn’t score, Toronto’s defense kept them in the game.”
“V-Tech” 3-In-To-Win Give-Away:
The Raptors were 6/12 from 3PT range

A tour-de-force by Bargnani with the best overall game I can remember. Just a sample of things to come, as he has unlimited potential for growth,in years to come.
- Johnn19AWESOME!!! i knew bargnani had it in him somewhere, and it was exciting to watch last night
- StephanieRebounding is a truly inaccurate and unimportant stat.
- Richard SpackmanThere are a number of rebounds made that do not end in a basket. There are a number of rebounds made that result in just one basket.
The only important rebound stat is points per rebound percentage per team.
You have the minions, and the need, work it out. You watch the games?
Getting outrebounded is becoming a habit. It won’t get the job done against better teams. I thought with Bosh, JO, Moon and the rest, the Raps will be one of the better rebounding teams in the league but it has been the total opposite so far. I am one concerned fan Eric.
- BeburgYou think rebounding doesn’t matter Richard?
I’ve got about a million coaches and GM’s that’d say otherwise.
You can’t score without the ball. You gotta go get it.
Luckily, despite their rebounding thus far, Toronto’s defense has been solid and that’s made up for things.
