Alright, I’ll be the first to admit, I had an average (okay, BAD) first round with my predictions.  I went 4-4.

I wad dead-wrong with the Raptors and Magic.  I had Toronto winning that series.

I expected MUCH more from Dallas and Phoenix … and they BOTH got greased by New Orleans and San Antonio respectively.

And I truly felt Washington - playing the Cavs for the 3RD-straight year - was finally ready to knock off Cleveland.

So, I can only ‘brag’ about nailing Boston, Detroit, LA, and Utah.

If you remember … Paul Jones, Jack Armstrong, and I all made our picks before the first round began … and for those keeping score … Jack has the lead right now (5-3) while Jonesy pulls up the rear at 3-5 (he missed the same 4 series as I did … but he was also looking for Houston to beat Utah).

I suppose it’s of little concern … but … my Finals pick is still alive (LA over Boston).

Here are my selections for Round 2:

- Detroit over Orlando in 5
- Boston over Cleveland in 6
- LA over Utah in 5
- San Antonio over New Orleans in 7

I’ll see if I can track down second-round picks from Jack and Jonesy as well.

Have a good end to your weekend

Boston now looks vulnerable, I like Cavs to upset. I like Spurs slightly, but they better find an answer for David West.

Chris Paul is amazing!!! I hope Kobe didn’t win MVP by a large margin, b/c CP3 is every bit as deserving.

Spurs are done! They might protect home court but I can’t see them winning 4 out of 5 against the team that owned them in the first two games.
Boston choked against Atlanta which tells me that LA is the 2008 NBA Champions! Lakers v Hornets will be an all-time Classic.
