Shuswap Tourism
What a jam packed day! Robyn from Shuswap tourism had a full day of fun planned for us. We started the day in downtown Salmon Arm which is very wisely laid out so that everything is within walking distance in a 2km area. What a Day! The Folks in the Shuswap know how to have fun and they know how to keep my family busy The Salmon Arm Camping Resort is a fantastic place to stay. They set us up right by the playground and me and the boys have spent some time in the games room playing some serious air hockey . I’m ashamed to admit I blew a 5 – 1 lead to Cody and ended up losing 7-6. Nothing humbles you quicker than losing to a 6 year old. We hit the highway and headed to Sky trek Adventure Park. This is 35 kms outside Sicamous right beside The Enchanted Village. (more…)
Shuswap Today – Eat. Sleep. Play.
How do you best describe the Shuswap?
You could call it a place where you can stroll though alpine meadows, walk with your family through rolling trails, or step towards an inviting café. You could say its where you can jump into incredibly warm water from the deck of a houseboat. You could say it’s a place where you can golf, then bike, then swim, then dine on fine local fare, and take in an evening out on the town. You could also say it’s a place where you can taste great wines and tour vineyards, explore hidden natural treasures, witness the amazing cycle of the salmon and watch the clear night sky wheel overhead. Or you could simply say it’s a place where you can change into your vacation shoes, put your feet up and do blissful nothing at all.
