ICBC customers in the valley are invited to a public consultation tonight to give their thoughts on possible changes to how the insurance corporation works.
Kellee Irwin with ICBC says the idea is to come up with a system that is fair for everyone.
“Our customers have told us that they think for system would be more fair if lower risk drivers paid less and higher risk pay more. In order to do that, we need to change our structure so we can better identify within our pricing system, lower and higher risk customers.”
The current system that assesses rates based on the vehicle being driven.
Irwin says before the end of the year, ICBC will come out with a set of recommendations based on the feedback.
The consultation is at 6pm at the Ramada in Abbotsford, and this is the only in-person consultation coming to the valley.
If you can’t make it in person, and want to provide feedback, you can do so online at: http://www.publicengagement.icbc.com/index.html
