It’s unfortunate that my first blog contains the sad news that the owner of Rogers Communications Inc., the parent company of 92 CITI FM has passed away at the age of seventy five. Ted Rogers actually feared he would die by the time he was thirty eight, the age when his father was felled by a ruptured aneurysm, leaving a six year old son with the pristine image of a heroic dad. Ted Rogers not only lived twice as long as his father, surviving a lengthy list of ailments, he went on to found this country’s pre-eminent communications empire.
If heaven is hooked up to MTS Mobility, it soon won’t be now that Ted Rogers has arrived…
