One brave movie is going to attempt to make any money this weekend, competing against the Avengers juggernaut. Tim Burton & Johnny Depp team up for the vampire-comedy Dark Shadows.

A bit of a surprise in the bottom two on American Idol last night. Phillip was facing elimination for the first time ever! He stayed alive for one more week, however, as Holly Cavanagh was sent home.

Yesterday, you heard on the Dish that the Avengers broke the record for opening week at the box office. It was reported the film made $200.3 million worldwide. It turns out that number was a little off. It was actually $207 million. Not that anyone’s counting, right?

The likely choices are between Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, and newly added to the mix – teen star Demi Lovato, who’s well known from her role on the TV show ‘Sonny With a Chance,’ and between the three of them, would probably cost the least to sign for a contract.

He doesn’t just play a lifesaver on TV – after a car flipped over multiple times just outside his home, Patrick Dempsey raced to the wreckage, crowbar in hand, and pulled the driver to safety. No serious injuries, though the car was totaled.
