Chamber president, Dave Angus says it’s been a few years since his organization has raised the issue….but he says now with new faces in both the premier’s and labour minister’s office, now’s the time to gauge the interest.
Icy roads may have been to blame for a driver losing control of a car that crashed into a house here in the city. The car ripped dozens of stone bricks off the side of Marla Wiebe’s home and pushed a vehicle across the driveway onto the lawn. The woman driving the car appeared to be fine. Police are still trying to figure out what exactly caused the crash.

Shots have been fired at a Seattle, Washington home where a man sought in yesterday’s coffee shop slayings of 4 police officers, may be holed up. The police gunfire followed negotiators use of loudspeakers and explosions to find out if the suspect is indeed inside, and to try and prod him to surrender.
