Head-on Crash in Nipissing Township

OPP reporting there was a two vehicle head on collision in Nipissing Township Monday night. The occupants of one of the vehicles involved fled the scene after the collision while the driver of the other vehicle was bleeding in the face. Police say the 62 year old female was given a shirt to deal with the bleeding by a male before he fled the scene. The woman from Kawartha Lakes was taken to hospital and is said to have non life threatening injuries. Police say a roadside breath test was conducted and an alert was registered and as a result she had her license seized and has a three day license suspension. Police continue to track down the people in the other vehicle.

Meantime, North Bay Police reporting a vehicle in the 100 block of Main East was entered on Monday afternoon with tools taken.  They included a 9 peice cordless drill set.  The tools are valued at $1,200.
