City police wrap up report
The city police investigation into last week’s carjacking that ended in Sudbury has wrapped up. 28 year old Ryan Pinel Gaulin of no fixed address is charged locally with kidnapping, uttering threats and two counts of robbery with a weapon. He’s currently in Sudbury facing charges there with North Bay Police putting in a request to have him returned to answer to the local charges.
An incident in May has led to the arrest of a 42 year old North Bay man. City police say a man was attacked with a 2 and a half foot piece of pipe on May 24th. The victim was stuck in the leg and suffered minor injuries. Randy Turcotte has been charged with assault with a weapon.
City police reporting a man was struck several times in the face Monday night and had his bike stolen by a group of other men. The incident happened after 1030 in the area of McIntyre and Wyld. One of the men is described white, 18 to 19 years old with blue baggy pants and a dark shirt. The others are described as male, white, 17 to 24 years old and wearing hats. A custom BMX bike valued at over 2000-dollars was taken — it has a “We The People” phoenix frame painted dark green, United handle bars along with purple pedals and grips.
