The clean-up continues on Silver Lady Lane after the Victoria Day truck rollover and fromaldehyde spill on Highway 63.  Silver Lady Lane was temporarily opened to local traffic late last week -and will be closed again Tuesday morning (as of 8am).   Managing Director of Community Services Jerry Knox says parts of the roadway were decommissioned and back-filled so they could open the roadway for the weekend.   Meantime, Knox says the work will continue as other portions of road need to be dug up.   He points out there are areas where they have to work around hydro and natural gas lines too.     Overall, he says it’s a lengthy process.  Meantime, the city says site contractors are looking to have Silver Lady Lane re-opened for local traffic for the long weekend, but nothing will be confirmed until later in the week.
