Quebec man charged by OPP
OPP reporting a 43 year old Quebec man is facing charges after an incident Saturday afternoon on Highway 63, west of Thorne. It’s alleged a motorcycle was observed to be well in excess of the speed limit and failed to stop for police and fled into Quebec and stopped in a park area. He was followed by an OPP officer who is a sworn special constable for the Province of Quebec, with the motorcyclist arrested and his bike seized and impounded for seven days. Guy Goupil of Rouyn-Norada, Quebec is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police and stunt driving. It’s alleged the motorcycle was traveling 110 kilometres over the posted speed limit.
