The KOA Campground in Sturgeon Falls officially opened over the weekend on Lalande Road.   Owner Greg Demers says being right on the water is their greatest feature with boat rentals, plus they have large open spaces and plans for a pool in the short term.  Overall, he says KOA is all about meeting certain standards — in terms of core safety and cleanliness.  He says staff also wear uniforms so they’re easily identified.  Meantime, Demers says they’ll be operating the marina at Minnehaha Bay once it opens — which will allow for larger seasonal vessels, they’ll have gasoline available and there will be a store too.
