Provincial budget passed: no summer election

June 20th, 2012

It’s official the provincial budget has passed meaning no provincial election this summer. On Wednesday, the Liberals supported the budget, the PC’s opposed it and the NDP abstained from voting.  Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says he voted against the budget because it raises taxes and that kills job creation. He says the corporate rate is now 11.5 per cent. Fedeli says he stood up to vote against the budget and the only reason it passed was the NDP abstained from voting  which he says is the same thing as supporting the budget . As for his summer schedule, Fedeli says he will be be at the Ring of Fire on Monday and then take part in  Ontario Northland stakeholder sessions on Wednesday and Thursday.
