Students Learn the Dangers of Distracted Driving
Students in the area are learning the dangers of distracted driving. A presentation took place on Monday for both English and French students at FJ McElligott. Principal at Ecole Secondarie FJ McElligot Daniel Gaulin says it was done through a mock accident. He says it started with a video of a scenario where a teenager was texting while driving to a party. After the video, the mock accident was re-enacted outside with emergency officials on scene and students also got to view victim impact statements. Gaulin says they feel students got the message that distracted driving can kill.
