City Police Weeked Wrap-Up

An update from North Bay Police on a weekend incident CKAT first told you about Sunday. A 25-year-old city woman is facing charges after another woman was allegedly attacked and robbed after making a withdrawal from a bank machine on Main Street. It’s further alleged a woman went to a Worthington Street address, wanted sex from a male occupant then took his wallet. Courtney Martel is charged with robbery and theft under $5,000.
City Police have charged a 56-year-old North Bay man after an incident at a bar before 6:00pm on Saturday. It’s alleged a man became upset with other patrons and when an employee tried to restrain the man, he was struck several times with a pool cue. It’s further alleged when police arrived the man became verbally abusive and punched an officer. Richard Auger is charged with assault with a weapon and assault police.

Police continue to investigate after a trailer at a transport yard was entered overnight Friday — with a quantity of meat stolen and stashed in a bush area. Just before 11:30am employees located the stash and three men prepared to haul it away. One male was apprehended while two others fled. 42-year-old Ivan Seguin is charged with break, enter and theft. Meantime, an investigation into a stolen purse from March 21st has led to charges, after a credit card was used. Twenty-nine-year old Amy Taillefer is charged with theft under $5,000 and unauthorized use of a credit card.
