Lake Nipissing access points under review
The public will get a chance to weigh in on what should be happening with the city’s Public Access Points on Lake Nipissing. A series of four public meetings are lined up starting with a general meeting at city hall Tuesday night from 7 to 9pm. Community Services Chair Councillor Sean Lawlor says staff have been assessing the access points. He says some look like they could be parks while others have been encroached upon by neighbours. Overall, Lawlor says they don’t have any recommendations at this point and they’re looking for public input. On top of Tuesday night’s general meeting involving all of the city’s Lake Nipissing public access points, three are neighbourhood meetings are taking place too. They’re scheduled for Thursday night along with March 27th and 29th too.
