Joe Perry has remixed his 2008 recording of “Run Rudolph Run” and has made it available for download at JoePerry.com and at the Aerosmith site, AeroForceOne.com.
Sting has posted a holiday greeting at Sting.com.
A replica of former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman‘s homemade bass from 1960 will be released in the spring.
Whitesnake have set a tentative March release for their next album, Forevermore.

Bob Dylan is inviting you to re-mix one of his songs from the ’60s, “Subterranean Homesick Blues.” The Re-mix Project allows you to create your own online version of the song using the original four-track “stems” — the individual vocal, guitar, bass and drum recordings. You can also mix in components from new versions that have been recorded for the project by The Ting Tings, 2 A.M. Club and others.

They are charter members of the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame, yet the Ramones have never won a Grammy; that is until now. The Ramones will be one of several acts who will receive a Special Merit “Lifetime Achievement” Award from the academy on February 12, one day before the 58th Annual Grammys are handed out in Los Angeles.
DOORS: MORRISON FAMILY MEMBERS RELEASE STATEMENT

The Family of Jim Morrison and surviving members of the Doors have issued a statement in response to Florida‘s pardon of Morrison for allegedly exposing himself at a Miami concert in 1969. They say that Jim didn’t need to pardoned for anything!!Morrison’s performance that night, while “certainly provocative,” “the charges against him were largely an opportunity for grandstanding by ambitious politicians.” They say the state of Florida and city of Miami should issue an apology, expunge the incident from the record and “promise to stop letting culture-war hysteria trump our First Amendment rights.”

E Street Band saxophone player Clarence Clemons is planning a series of monthly shows at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida starting with his 69th birthday on January 11th.
Jimmy Buffett will perform “Winter Wonderland” on the Today show Friday (Christmas Eve).
Roger Waters completes the 2010 leg of his Wall tour tonight in Mexico City. He’ll start up again in Lisbon, Portugal on March 21st.
U2 wrapped up the 2010 leg of their 360 Degrees tour Sunday night in Perth, Australia. The next stop for them is February 13th in Johannesburg, South Africa
LENNON: RARE ARTIFACTS GOING ON THE AUCTION BLOCK

Looking for something to do once you wake up on New Year’s Day? You could attend the auction of one of John Lennon‘s most famous Beatles outfits and a car he drove during the 1970s. Braswell Galleries of Norwalk, Connecticut will handle the January 1st sale of the white suit John wore on the cover of the Abbey Road album and the 1972 Chrysler station wagon that served as the Lennon’s family wheels in New York. According to the gallery owner, the unnamed owner of both has run into financial problems and needs to raise money.
BRETT MICHAELS: NO LONGER ON THE MARKET

In a year filled with highs and lows, Bret Michaels is ending 2010 on a high note as he’s engaged to Kristi Lynn Gibson, his girlfriend of 16 years and the mother of his two daughters. Michaels popped the question last night on the finale of his VH1 reality show, Life As I Know It. This past summer Michaels gave Kristi a promise ring, which he said was a “friendship ring with benefits.”
Michaels is featured in two new commercials for the 2011 Ford Explorer. You can watch the spots at BretMichaels.com.

Gene Simmons says he has proof that he’s slept with close to 5000 women during his 37 years of touring with KISS. He tells us he has Polaroid photos of most of them, along with the key to each hotel room where the deed was done.
