A Rod Stewart rarities box set will be released on September 29th. Sessions offers early versions of such classics as “Maggie May,” “Tonight’s the Night,” and “You Wear It Well.” There are also unfinished songs, such as “Innocent (the Killing of Georgie, Part Three),” and never-before-released completed tracks. A cover of Buddy Holly‘s “Maybe Baby” is among four songs recorded for a cancelled second disc on Rod’s Foolish Behavior album. And among the ’90s material that never made it out of the studio are a cover of Bobby Womack‘s “Looking for a Love” and a re-make of “In a Broken Dream” that features Pink Floyd‘s David Gilmour and Led Zeppelin‘s John Paul Jones.
