QUEEN: Brian & Roger speaking with Idol runner up!
Tuesday, May 26th, 2009
Are Brian May and Roger Taylor already looking for someone to replace singer Paul Rodgers in Queen? May and Queen performed last week with singer Adam Lambert on American Idol, and in an interview with Rolling Stone, May says, “Roger and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point. It’s not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn’t that easy. But I’d certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there.” After four years, a few tours, a studio album and live releases, Rodgers decided to leave Queen to concentrate on his solo career and a brief Bad Company reunion tour this summer.

WOODSTOCK: back to the garden…
Thursday, May 21st, 2009
Woodstock was the ultimate peak of the hippie ideal. As Neil Young once stated; “….we jammed a freeway! Woodstock let us know just how many of us there actually were!” Joni Mitchell declined an invitation to play at the behest of her manager who convinced her an appearance on the Dick Cavet show was a priority. She did however get a great song out of watching the highlights on the 6 oclock news! Believe me, Crosby Stills Nash & Young were certainly happy she did!
2009 marks the 40th anniversary for this historic event. New footage has since been discovered, restored, and remastered to be included in an extended version of the original film. 92 CITI FM is presently working with our good friends Shawn Sommers and John Jones from Warner Music Winnipeg to showcase a special “one-night only” feature presentation of the new film version to celebrate its release to dvd and blue ray! Stay tuned…
