Police in Brandon have made three arrests after reports that a nine-year-old girl was sexually assaulted over the last three years. The assaults were separate incidents involving three different suspects, but with the same child.

A standoff in North Kildonan has ended after police, paramedics and fire crews were on hand to deal with a reported gun threat. The 58-year-old man,who was armed and barricaded inside a home, surrendered peacefully and there were no injuries.
The cause of the house fire on McMillian Tuesday was because someone put out a cigarette in a flower pot full of peat moss. It caught fire, spread and caused around $900-thousand worth of damage.
