December 5th is when school would resume for Brandon University if striking professors vote to accept on a final contract offer next week.
The Labour board stepped in following Labour Minister Jennifer Howards decision this week to order staff to vote on the most recent offer on the table.
The 240 Professors have been on strike since October 12th.
A gas main leak caused classes at Lord Nelson School on McPhillips Street in Winnipeg to be cancelled, but school is in today. Students were evacuated to a nearby School.
An early morning crash in St. Boniface has 2 people in hospital in stable condition. A police SUV and a chargers collided in the St. Mary’s road and Travers avenue are at about 2:20 this morning. The suspect vehicle fled after a routine stop by officers… and then hit a fence and the police vehicle.
