Cute Cuddly Kittens??

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

I woke up this morning with a warm fuzzy feeling. And no, it wasn’t because my dog was sleeping beside me. I had a wonderful dream last night about cute cuddly kittens. I rescued them from an abandon home. This one kitten in particular was very cuddly. I loved it. I woke up feeling happy.

So I thought, I wonder what it means to dream about kittens. So much for my happy feeling. Here’s what I found on the internet…

To see a kitten in your dream signifies deceit and trouble ahead. If you dream about a litter of kittens, you may be drawn into a social conflict. This dream could also suggest that you are somehow feeling disconnected from the more feminine side of your personality.

And from another site…

To dream of kittens, denotes abominable small troubles and vexations will pursue and work you loss, unless you kill the kitten, and then you will overcome these worries.

So much for my happy feeling this morning! Stupid dream.

Mental Health

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

Today is a very important day for me and my family as we celebrate the life of my brother – today would have been his 37th birthday. In honor of him – I promised myself and my brother that I would make today a happy day. As that was the one thing I always wished, hoped and dreamed for him.

To celebrate I want to tell you about the Canadian Mental Health Association. They take a holistic approach to mental health and wellness which incorporates body, mind and spirit. They believe that people are not their illnesses and understand that individuals routinely experience “health within illness”. Through this understanding they support a “strengths based” approach in the development and delivery of their services – you can go to www.cmha.calgary.ab.ca for information on Mental Health.

On there site you’ll also be able to get information about their 4th Annual Golf Tournament and fly Fishing Derby called Fish and Chips September 4th. The Golf is full for the game at Cotton Wood Golf and Country Club – but there’s still room for fishing on the bow – plus opportunities for sponsorship and prizes! The proceeds help build affordable housing and provide programs and services for those affected by mental illness.

In honor of my brother – Jamie – Aug.6 1971 – Aug.23 2007
