Michael Jackson will be remembered as one of the most influential artists of all time. A trend setter and hit maker that re-defined pop music. His album “Thriller” became—and currently remains the best selling album of all time.

Michael Jackson will also be remembered as one of the most complicated and controversial people of our time.

He was a Gift and a kind and gentle soul. May he finally get the peace he should have had when he was with us.

I will always remember Michael as a man that made everyone happy. I feel badly how people have accussed him of child molestation, several times over. He was a man that just loved children and was living his childhood that he missed as a child. He was one of the greatest entertainers and he will be sadly missed. I can say so much more on this man, but words alone cannot tell anyone what kind of gentle person he was.

Whn I think of Michael Jackson it makes me sad!! I think a great part of their success should be being able to keep it all together so they can enjoy their success, the friends they have met through their years of stardom, family they have enriched and so forth. It is too bad that everything around them usually sets them into an out of control state and they resort to drugs thinking that it will never happen to them which is foolish! That is what I wish would stop is the foolish idea that we are infallible. I am sure that I can speak for just about everyone in that we don’t want this to happen to them, they are such talented people that deserve to enjoy life and can with the money they earn and we don’t want them to leave us because we have come to love them and their unbelievable talent! It’s not fun to be so sad (as a fan) when a person like Michael Jackson has suffered maybe unfairly through two court problems if he was innocent and not to go on to enjoy more his great talent. We hadn’t had enough of him because we was so great! It makes me very sad!

As most listeners who come to chfi.com know, I’m a movie guy, but when I was a young child, Michael Jackson was on my radar. He was the only musician I knew (much like Spielberg was the only director, Gretzky the only hockey player, and Michael Jordan the only basketball player).

I know with his death goes some of my childish innocence.

To MJ, the most talented artist ever, who never stopped inventing or creating something new. His talent was extraoridnary abd huge. I grew up with MJ’s music and still do today. It will live forever as will MJ himself. There will never be another MJ and I will mioss him dearly. I just wish people would remember him for his great music and talent instead of bashing his name with remarks that hurt. No one knows the truth and we were not put on this earth to judge, for only one person can do that. Michael, May you rest in peace now. Forever in our hearts.

I love Michael, will always love. I just could believe it when I heard the news on my way home from work. I was convinced that it was an error. Until, they confirmed, I cried myself to sleep watching all the news until midnight. I would have continued if my husband did turn the TV off. May his Soul Rest in Peace. Love you MJ–you are/will be the KING.

I luv you, Michael and it’s killing me inside to know you are gone. It will kill me more if it comes out that it was foul play or that someone did that to you. I am still in shock and can’t believe this is real. My heart still cries for MJ. He was just missing his childhood and did not molest children. Being with them made him feel like he was reliving his own childhood and Neverland was just the place to do that. There he could live his dream, there he could be a child like the others, it was there that he found his childhood. MJ you will live forever. Til we meet again.

I will honour Michael’s memory by focusing on the happy and positive memories.
I will always remember Michael Jackson as the person who had given me so many incredibly wonderful and memorable tween years memories, an incredible humanitarian and a uniquely talented person. He was truly a gift to the world and there has never been and there will never be anyone like him. I will always be thankful for all his gifts to us and for his amazing music which instilled the love and passion for music that I still have today.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family now especially with his three children.

I love you, Michael, and I thank you for your precious and invaluable gifts to the world. May you rest in peace now and forever.

I always loved Michael Jackson’s music and still do. I think he was a man who never got to live out his childhood as a child and therefore he liked to be surrounded by children. I think we should remember him for his music and don’t think that will ever die. Rest in peace, Michael

What a shock! I feel sadness and compassion for the man.
I remember Michael as a great entertainer with great music and interesting moves which don’t seem to be his normal behaviour.
Sometimes money and fame adds to abnormality as we know it, the having to stay secluded. Some of your friends are only there as long as you have money. You never really know all of them for sure.
As for the other sad issues in his life if he is innocent then we should be ashamed as should the parents that found an easy way to extort money from him. That’s the type of world we live in. But, if he is guilty then the shame is his.

My fondest memories was the making of “We Are the World” – in Jan 1985.

And of course the Moonwalk on the Motown 25th Anniversary – does anyone know where I can get a DVD copy of that show?

MJ – you will be missed.

I remember being 6 years old with a big bowl of popcorn in front of me waiting impatiently for the premiere of the ‘Thriller’ video. I will never forget the awe and sheer excitment Michael Jackson brought to me. He will forever be remembered as The all time performer, revolutionary in his field and most of all, a simple human being with a big heart.
    He will be geatly missed.

I came to Canada in 1969 and soon after that the Jackson 5 burst on the scene. The young Michael reminded me of my little brother I had left behind in Georgetown Guyana where we had no TV at that time. Then their music provided me with much enjoyment until I had 2 children of my own – and MJ was still in my house – but this time with the Thriller album etc. My children have such great memories of the birthday parties we held where his music was played on and on.
I firmly believe that things happen for a reason..Michael is now at peace – but away from his beloved children – hopefully they will be surrounded by adults who understand their loss and who help them to grow into mature adults.
Bye Michael, the thought of your death still leaves a huge lump in my throat – similar to the one I had for Elvis – yes I am that old…

He seemed to me to be a young soul, lost in a world where everyone demanded so much of him. Entertaining was all he ever knew, his job, his life and it robbed him of much of his childhood. He was too amazing for his own good and his talent was too great to be harnessed. Somwhere, it got away from him and he seemed to lose himself. We must always remember the goodness he and his music brought us. We all feel a personal connection with him and that was his true gift to us.

We all loved MJ in our family, back in the ’80s. His music, singing, dancing, etc., was the absolute best! He brought much happiness into our lives. I feel, like many others, very sad that Michael lived a life filled with so much sadness, inbetween his joy. May he rest peacefully in a better place for him! Many ‘stars’ simply can’t handle the enormity of their success. Michael is an example of how it can take over their life and turn them into someone they’re not!

Still to this day, over a week after his death, I can’t believe that he is gone. Michael Jackson was a true legend that I know will continue to live on even if he isn’t here to experience it. Michael Jackson was a true inspiration to so many singers and dancers that he will never be forgotten among them but even us, some who haven’t ever met Michael, still continue to be inspired by what he did. Michael wasn’t just a singer and he wasn’t just a dancer; he was so much more. Michael Jackson always succeeded in entertaining his fans in a way that most performers can’t. Michael Jackson is a legend; his dance is and will be remembered forever as will his songs; which always seemed to have a hidden meaning that would still make you want to dance.
Michael will never be forgotten because nobody will ever be able to succeed in such ways as Michael Jackson. He remains in our thoughts and hearts even though he isn’t here on Earth.
Michael Joseph Jackson…Rest in Peace. We will always love you!

I’m still in shock, I tear up everytime I see his videos. I still can’t believe he’s gone. He seemed like a wonderful, gentle caring person, father and friend. His music touched everyone. May you rest in peace and dwell in the gardens of paradise. You will live in our hearts forever.
