Pearl Jam 20 soundtrack streaming online

Wednesday, September 14th, 2011

Pearl Jam plays Ottawa tonight, and the documentary PJ20 is coming to Ottawa September 20th – one night only at the Silver City and Colliseum theatres.  The soundtrack to that documentary is now streaming, so you can listen to the whole 29-track epic online.  It features lesser-known Pearl Jam music, including a performance of “Walk With Me” with Neil Young.

The first disc consists of songs handpicked by the film’s director, Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous), and the second disc is full of rarities and never before heard Pearl Jam material.  You can listen to each track individually by clicking on this link to the Rolling Stone website.

New Eddie Vedder video

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011

A new Eddie Vedder video has hit the web.  The song is called “You’re True”, and was posted under one of Vedder’s aliases, JeromeTurner1980.  We’re assuming the song is from the Pearl Jam singer’s upcoming second solo album and DVD, both of which are due in May.

Rolling Stone reports that Vedder’s album, Ukelele Songs, and his live DVD Water On The Road will both be released on May 31st.  The record will feature Vedder performing original songs and covers on his ukelele, with guest appearances by Chan Marshall of Cat Power and Glen Hansard of The Frames.
