Late last year, Black Sabbath announced the reunion of their original line up and began to confirm tour dates starting in May of this year. Those plans may change as guitarist Tony Iommi confirmed on Monday that he is battling Cancer. He’s been diagnosed with early stage Lymphoma and is currently working with doctors to decide on the treatment.
This may affect the Black Sabbath tour. The word is that Sabbath were to be one of the headliners at this year’s Coachella festival but pulled out because of Iommi’s diagnosis. We’ll know more soon. In the meantime, Iommi is amazed by all the fans who are getting in touch to wish him well.
