Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora is out of rehab and ready to rejoin the band’s tour. Sambora will play the European leg of Bon Jovi’s tour, starting tomorrow in Croatia. Sambora checked himself into rehab in April, saying he had “fallen off the wagon”.
Donovan was playing London on the weekend when a surprise guest appeared on stage – Jimmy Page! Page played guitar on Donovan’s 1965 hit ”Sunshine Superman” – a gig for which he was paid about 20 dollars. The pair recaptured some of that magic as Donovan performed the Sunshine Superman album.
Some sad news from the southern rock community – one-time Allman Brothers drummer David “Frankie” Toler has died at the age of 59. Toler, who played with the Allman Brothers, Dickie Betts & Great Southern, the Marshall Tucker Band, the Gregg Allman band and the Toler Brothers Band with his brother Dan. He passed away Saturday at a hospital in Florida after a prolonged illness.
