Suze Rotolo died on Thursday February 24 at the age of 67 after a long illness. She became the inspiration for a number of Bob Dylan songs after meeting him at the age of 17 in 1961. Dylan later wrote of their first meeting: “We started talking and my head started to spin. Cupid’s arrow had whistled past my ears before, but this time it hit me in the heart and the weight of it dragged me overboard”. Rotolo was a civil rights activist, an artist and a teacher at the Parsons School of Design in New York City. She’s the lady with Bob on the cover of The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan.

New Alice Cooper not due until the Fall…

Alice Cooper

Looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer for the next Alice Cooper album.  “Welcome 2 My Nightmare” is finished but it won’t be released until the Fall. Cooper wants to give Bob Ezrin more time to fine tune it and doesn’t want fans to get it mixed up with his upcoming tour. The good news is, Cooper thinks he’ll go out on the road again after “W2MN” arrives later this year.
