Thanks to Darryl Ell from the Lethbridge curling club for being my guest co-host this morning.   and to my curling team mates…   the reason my weight is always off….my slider.   Darryl said I can blame my cheap slider for not having the right weight.  I knew I liked him.

So hard to get back into the groove after a week off…especially if that week was spent on the beach off the ocean.   I found it really hard to come back to the cold and the fog and the 300+ email I had.    I can’t be that important…in fact I know I’m not that important!

Toyota is suspending Canadian and U-S sales of eight recalled vehicle models to fix accelerator pedals that stick.  It’s the latest quality problem to confront the world’s No. 1 automaker.  There are 2.3 (m) million vehicles in the U-S and about 270-thousand in Canada involved in the recall, which was announced last week.
The Japanese automaker says the sales suspension includes the 2009-2010 RAV-4, the 2009-2010 Corolla, the 2009-2010 Matrix, the 2005-2010 Avalon, the 2007-2010 Camry, the 2010 Highlander, the 2007-2010 Tundra and the 2008-2010 Sequoia.
It was unclear how long Toyota would suspend production of the vehicles.

Tetris has become the best selling mobile game of all time.  over 100-million downloads.  I have it on my phone and my I-touch.  I have to admit…when I start playing I can’t stop…I play and play and play and nothing gets done.   its very addicting.  My favorite Tetris is Tetris mania…I love racing the clock.

The torch for the winter Olympics in Vancouver will make its way to Lethbridge this Sunday.   I wasn’t really too excited about the games until a couple of days ago when I started learning a little more about the torch relay and its trek to Lethbridge.   the torch is actually going to make its way over the High Level Bridge.  

My sister-in-law Lynn Sutherland is carrying the torch in Bow Island. The whole Martin clan is going down to cheer her on.    Brent and I will talk with her tomorrow morning about how she’s feeling.

Soooo excited…finally found a pair of those hard to come by red olympic mittens.   Talking to the salesperson at The Bay…she says they can’t keep them in stock…they sell out really fast.   There  were about a dozen pair on the shelf when I went at lunch yesterday and she said they’d all be gone by later that afternoon.   over 1.5-million of the mits have been sold across canada.   Now to try and find a pair for my daughter!!!
