It’s what every Rider fan is talking about today….yesterday’s heartbreaking Grey Cup loss to the Montreal Alouettes. I’m not sure why, but for some reason yesterday’s loss is a tougher pill to swallow than last year’s. I think it might be because I actually expected the Riders to win. There was so much talk about redemption. I really believed we could pull out a big “W,” but alas, it was Montreal that came out on top. I’m still proud to be a Rider fan. I’m not one of those people that jump off the bandwagon after their team loses. We still had an amazing season. We’ve got great players and a good coaching staff and I truly believe we’ll be able to make it to the Grey Cup again next year. As they always say….there’s always next year.

That’s the view as the Saskatchewan Roughriders arrived back in Regina last night after their big win in Calgary. Around 1000 people showed up at midnight to greet the players. How awesome is that? Way to go Rider Nation.
I’m really looking forward to Sunday’s Grey Cup game against Montreal. I wish I could be at the game in Edmonton, but instead I’ll be cheering at the Medicine Hat Lodge for Rock 105.3′s Grey Cup party. Feel free to drop by the Lava Lounge and watch the game with us. You can win special VIP passes including a $50 tab with Trapper John all week long. Go Riders Go!

This past weekend my friend Natalie came to visit with her new puppy Dolce. I was a little worried about having two puppies running around my apartment for an entire weekend, but it turned out alright! Nala (my poodle) and Dolce had the best time. And yes, I realize I’m one of “those people” who talks about their dog 24/7.
Here’s a pic of the two of them together:
Nala was in desperate need of a grooming… here’s what she looks like now:

Poison frontman Bret Michaels made a huge announcement over the weekend during a solo show—Poison is hitting the road next year with Motley Crue!
The tour will mark 25 years of Poison tunes and 30 years of Motley Crue!
And to mark their milestones, the two groups are reportedly planning to join forces for a massive trek.

Can you believe the CFL playoffs start this weekend already? The season sure flew by didn’t it? All season long Poncho and I have been making weekly CFL bets on our teams—the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. I ended up winning most of them, because the Bombers had such a horrible season. Poncho had to do numerous things for me…like wash my car, cook me dinner, buy coffee for a week, bring breakfast for a week, etc. Poncho also lost our final CFL Showdown and had to show up in a suit to work everyday. Now, most of you are probably thinking that wearing a suit is no big deal….well Poncho HATES dressing up. His daily wardrobe consists of either sweats/jeans and a t-shirt and hoodie. That’s it. Oh and he always takes his shoes off at work too. He was not excited at all. Check out Poncho all dressed up:
Poncho ended the week in his “riding suit.” He said I wasn’t specific as to what kind of suit he had to wear. I was okay with it.
I would just like to thank Poncho for being such a good sport this season. I don’t know what I would have done if I was in his position! I can’t wait until next year.
One last thing…GO RIDERS GO!

I’m excited to check out a couple of movies this weekend!
Megamind opens up:
And so does Due Date:
Both movies look absolutely hilarious! Plus, they’ve got good reviews too. Even Poncho wants to see both of them….which doesn’t happen quite often, trust me

Did you catch Conan O’Brien’s Show Zero last night? If not, here’s what you missed:
It wasn’t very long, but I’m looking forward to Conan’s new show when it debuts Nov 8th.
