Well, so ends another Christmas and once again it will go down as one of the more memorable holidays for the Hart household!

My oldest daughter Allannah made it clear back in November that the #1 thing on her wish list was a Hannah Montana PSP. She even told Santa himself! Of course, not seeing alot of them on the store shelves caused a little bit of worry that maybe Santa’s supply had run out.

Christmas morning came and true to his word, Santa delivered. She got her PSP! Excited? Oh yeah, my ears are still ringing.

The second biggest thing that happened for her was that Santa brought a little stocking for her pet rabbit ‘Shivers’. She brought the stocking over to his cage, and proudly showed it off. Shivers looked up and sniffed the stocking held against the cage and Allannah exclaimed that this was, and I quote, ‘The best Christmas ever!’

As God as my witness, and with hand over my heart, I swear what happened next is true.

Within an hour, Shivers died! We NEVER saw this coming, the rabbit seemed a-ok, and no, she never ate anything from the stocking.

I watched my oldest daughter go from the highest high, to the lowest low as she sat amongst the gift wrap, holding her pet for the last time with tears rolling down her face.

We all agreed that Shivers was sick all along, but thanks to the magic of Christmas, was able to experience the joy of the season before catching a ride to bunny heaven.

RIP Shivers!

What you see above is a picture of those green jerseys the Canadian Junior team wore yesterday during their win over the Swiss.

Why the green?

A throwback to former champions?

A tribute to the military?

No and no!

Saskatchewan is hosting the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships, and in what has to be the saddest attempt to make a few dollars, the marketing staff at Hockey Canada and Nike issued this special edition jersey in green, the official colour of Saskatchewan!

What!?!?!

Look folks, this is Canada. We’re proud of our hockey and we’re proud of our military. If you’re not honouring either, any other colour besides RED and WHITE is unacceptable!

The green looks awful!

This is sad!

A 19-year-old woman faces assault charges after an Olympic torch carrier was knocked down in this southern Ontario city on Monday morning.

It all went down as Cortney Hansen, 28, of Milton, Ont., was confronted by protesters just before 8 a.m., police said. Hansen was treated by Olympic Torch Run medical staff at the scene. Brittney Simpson, 19, of Kitchener, Ont., has been charged with assault and is scheduled to appear in court in February.

The flame was not extinguished during the incident, which happened before about 1,000 people gathered to watch the torch relay.

On Sunday, about 200 protesters made lots of noise but remained peaceful as the Olympic torch made its way into Kitchener.

What floors me is that these folks believe that pulling stunts like this is going to disrupt the games!?!?!

Hell no, we’re going for GOLD baby and there’s nothing they can do about it!
