Nadya Suleman
Wednesday, February 25th, 2009
OK, we’ve been talking about this at home, at work, over coffee. Nadya Suleman and her octuplets. Experts believe that the unnamed fertility specialists who gave her in vitro fertilization (IVF) should not have implanted so many embryos, and in choosing to carry all eight to term, Suleman ignored guidelines, risking both their health and her own. Now I’m all for a woman’s right to do whatever they want, but personally, I believe these kids are going to suffer. She has a total of 14 kids, no job, and has now openly asked for donations on her website to help care for these babies. How did she plan to care for them when she got pregnant? What ticks me off even more, is that there are some really good people out there that would give anything for just ONE baby. What Nadya has done is selfish, and irresponsible. What do you think?

R.I.P. Saturday Mornings
Monday, February 23rd, 2009
OK, it’s February 1981. On a chilly winter’s morning in a little place called Curling, located outside Corner Brook Newfoundland, a little Billy Hart was up and around before 6am on a Saturday morning. It took an air raid siren to get me up for school during the week at 7, but this was Saturday. The test pattern on the TV would disappear at 6, and after a few Canadian shows, the American channels would come to life with a morning full of glorius cartoons. Superfriends, Smurfs, Pac Man, Little Rascals, Richie Rich, as well as the old standards Bugs Bunny and Scooby Doo. Heck, we even got excited over the cereal commericals that showed us the new prizes that were available. We’d be glued to that screen until the animation would dissolve and be replaced with real people, (sorry Dick Clark, American Bandstand was great but….). Man, Saturdays ROCKED! Sadly, my kids will never appreciate Saturday mornings like I did because we are now in a world where cartoons are available 24/7. When I was a kid, there was nothing close to a cartoon being shown during the week. Which was why Saturday was so great. Foot Loops, juice, and toast on a TV tray, 6 inches from the TV. At the time, I even had the TV Schedule memorized. Video may have killed the radio star, but Teletoon and YTV killed Saturday mornings. Maybe Rogers should offer a Nostalgia Package, where cartoons are only aired on the weekend.

Shania Then And Now
Tuesday, February 17th, 2009
OK, I will never come across a picture of Shania Twain that looks bad, and after her return to the CMA’s recently it seems things really do get better with age. The first shot is from 10 years ago, the other, a few months ago. New Millenium Shania, looks better than 90′s Shania. Agree?
Mutt, what were you thinking?

How nuch would you pay for 2 Maple Leaf tickets (upper bowl), 2 hot dogs, & 2 drinks from the ACC, plus a parking pass?
$400?
$300?
$200?
Check out below how much all that would cost in Tampa Bay and ask yourself ‘Are we getting hosed?’

You Have Got To Be Kidding!!!!
Wednesday, February 11th, 2009
Found this video on the net. In China, you’re only allowed to have one child. Sad to see that somebody is wasting the opportunity.
