Cam MacMurchy is a former reporter with News1130.  He moved from Vancouver to Beijing four years ago.  “I also lived in the southern city of Guangzhou and China’s largest city, Shanghai. I have worked mostly in state-run media, as a radio host with China Radio International in Beijing.”

Cam has also appeared on Chinese television, has worked for a website company, has been published in the Victoria Times Colonist, the National Post, the Washington Times and the International Herald Tribune. He also runs a China news website at — www.zhongnanhaiblog.com.

Cam’s reports on News1130 will be heard daily during the games in Beijing, “I want to tell the people stories. What people are thinking, how they feel about the event, and the effect on neighbourhoods, businesses, and families. I also want to tackle the city-wide stories: pollution, corruption, transportation, infrastructure and planning.”
